We at Arkio ehf. ("Arkio", "we", "our" or "us") know that our users care about how their personal data is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Data") that we gather when you access or use https://arkio.is and related applications, products, content or services that we offer (collectively, our "Services").

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including any third party websites, services and applications that you elect to access through or in connection with the Services, or to individuals that we do not manage or employ. I. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

  • We collect your first name, last name, and email address: When you sign up for our beta test list or our mailing list, we require that you provide your first name, last name and email address. In addition, you may choose to share your first name, last name and email address with us through our website. We will store personal data in order to respond to your requests or questions. In addition, you may occasionally receive email and other communications from us, such as communications about the Services or responding to customer service requests. You can always opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by emailing customer support.

  • We do not collect any Personal Data from children: We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name or email address.

  • We collect general usage information: The Services will collect usage information, such as the type of device you are using, device ID, memory size, and features that you access through the Services. For example, we collect usage data around the number of models you create, modeling tools used, how long collaborative meetings last for, which items you select through our user interface, etc. We may also collect information about your country and city of origin, information necessary to initiate collaborative meetings, as well as anonymous web traffic data.

    We use this information to understand our users better and to improve our Services. We may also use this information to inform you about the features you can use through the Services. We may use this information in aggregate form, that is, as a statistical measure, but not in a manner that would identify you personally("Aggregate Information").

    We use Mixpanel, Inc. ("Mixpanel")to analyze the usage information that we collect from you. You have the option to opt out of Mixpanel's analytics services when using the Services.
  • We collect crash analytics information: The Services will collect anonymous crash analytics information to help us understand any issues you may be having with the Services.


  • II. STORING AND SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA

    We store all of our information, including Personal Data, using industry-standard techniques. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the Internet, unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of information at any time. We cannot guarantee or warrant that the techniques we employ will prevent unauthorized access to Personal Data that we store.
    We do not sell or rent Personal Data to third parties. We will share your Personal Data only as follows:

  • With your consent: Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Data may be shared with third parties in personally identifiable form, and will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.

    Non-U.S.Users: Please be advised that your Personal Data may be processed in the country where it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of Personal Data may be less stringent than the laws in your country. If you have concerns about our processing of your personal data, please do not use the Services.

    California Privacy Rights: Under California Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice identifying the categories of personal customer information which we share with our affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes, and providing contact information for such affiliates and/or third parties.
